With a background in law and financial services and experience within the charity sector, Gill found the place she belongs in Social Enterprise - being able to do good things in an entrepreneurial and often fast paced environment.  She is co-founder of both Social Business Brokers and Angels, a domiciliary care and housekeeping service which was the first Community Interest Company in Yorkshire back in 2005 and is still providing vital social care services.

Being embedded in the Third Sector in Leeds for over 16 years, Gill has a wide network of local organisations and businesses and is able to draw them in to support our work. She is well known within the world of social business, was a Social Enterprise Ambassador and speaks regularly at social enterprise conferences and events. In 2022, Gill was featured in #WISE 100 Top Women In Social Enterprise.

Gill leads on our social impact and believes there is no time to waste when it comes to the climate crisis.  Being able to collaborate on impactful projects that everyone across the city can easily be part of helps to give people a sense of ownership and purpose where they might otherwise feel powerless.
