Leeds School Uniform Exchange
This continues to be one of our most popular projects. We designed a people-powered citywide infrastructure where families can access great quality second hand school uniform for free at community groups, schools and online. Thousands of items are donated and distributed throughout the year, saving families money and reducing the carbon footprint of our city by reducing the demand for new.
Empty Homes Doctor
Empty Homes Doctor is one of our most successful and long standing projects. Set up in 2014, we provide tailored support to owners of empty houses to help bring them back into use as homes for families in Leeds. Thanks to support from Leeds City Council, our award-winning team has brought back into use over 900 long-term empty homes.
Zero Waste Leeds
We set up Zero Waste Leeds in 2018, taking a movement building approach to help Leeds to move towards becoming a zero waste city. We've built a highly engaged online community, delivered successful high-impact campaigns, and set up projects including Leeds School Uniform Exchange and Together for Sport.
Together for Sport
Launched in 2022, we have been working with citywide partners to unlock the resource of second hand sport kit and equipment to ensure that children have everything they need to take part in sport and activities.
Glass Recycling
We worked with key stakeholders in the glass industry to design and deliver a behaviour change campaign, encouraging people in Leeds to recycle their glass. The campaign told the circular economy story of how glass recycled in Leeds is made into new bottles and jars in Yorkshire, whilst making it easier for people to find their local glass bank. We also worked with young people to design colourful new glass banks in three Leeds neighbourhoods.
